HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

 

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

It is the responsibility of each TURNKEY PETROLEUM personnel to perform their work in an environmentally friendly manner. It is the policy of TURNKEY PETROLEUM to promote and encourage awareness of and to protect and preserve the environment where they work.

In implementing this policy, staff are encouraged to pay appropriate attention to the environment by acting to preserve air, water, soil, plant and animal life from being impacted by their actions or those of the subcontractors to minimize any adverse effect, which may result from such actions.

ALL waste generated during the project shall be collected, handled, treated and disposed of in such a way as not to have any adverse impact on the environment.
Dumping of waste into creeks, rivers, and other water bodies is not allowed in TURNKEY PETROLEUM Operations.

At the conclusion of any activity, our ultimate goal is to leave the work site in a condition as near as possible to the state in which it was when we first arrived or in a better condition.

COMMUNITY AFFAIRS POLICY
In Order to promote mutually beneficial relationships with our host communities, TURNKEY PETROLEUM PROJECTS LIMITED in conjunction with the client shall:

  1. establish a community development program appropriate to the level of activity to complement the efforts of Government agencies and donors in the Company’s areas of operations.
  2. build sustainable development partnerships by enlisting the full participation of host communities designated representatives in project planning, implementation and monitoring .
  3. establish ongoing communication with the relevant social segments of host communities in order to address their concerns and aspirations.
  4. respond to formal community requests in an appropriate and timely manner.
  5. continuously assess the social impact of all new core business activities and take any needed preventative or mitigating measures.
  6. require all TURNKEY and subcontractor staff to relate with host communities in a respectful and responsible manner.
  7. ensure that contracting organizations adapt standards of work and behavior that are wholly compatible with this policy.

 

DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

TURNKEY PETROLEUM PROJECTS LIMITED has adapted a policy absolutely prohibiting the use, possession, or sale of illegal drugs, intoxicating beverages and/or controlled substances or firearms on any Company or Client premises. Controlled substances are any illegal drugs or prescription drugs not obtained by a valid prescription. The drugs will not be allowed anywhere on or in land, building structures, installations, vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft owned, leased or used by the Company or Client for their operations.

To enforce this policy, TURNKEY PETROLEUM has reserved the right to inspect any personnel, place or thing on or entering company premises and intends to exercise that right without prior announcement as deemed necessary other than this note. Searches on Company facilities including locked desks and other locked areas provided, maybe conducted at any time with or without permission of the occupant.

This policy has been adopted and will be enforced in the interest of providing each employee a healthy and safe place in which to work. Your understanding and co-operation during inspections will be greatly appreciated and should help minimize the inconvenience these inspections may cause.

Individual found in violation of this policy are subject to discharge, immediate removal from Company premises and if warranted, reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
Your active support will aid TURNKEY PETROLEUM’S continuing effort to provide the best and safest possible working environment.

 

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND SECURITY(HSES) POLICY STATEMENT

It is the policy of TURNKEY PETROLEUM that its operations should be carried out at all times in such a way as to ensure that Health, Safety, and Security of its employees and all persons likely to be affected by its operations, including sub-contractors, clients and the general public are safe-guarded, and that the same dedication will be shown to the protection and conservation of our environment.

 This policy is the direct responsibility of the company’s senior management who are committed to the implementation of the health, safety, environment and security policy.

Within TURNKEY PETROLEUM, Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) is a line management responsibility for which individuals will be held accountable and it is recognized that implementation, by line management, of the policy will lead to greater efficiency and higher standards throughout all departments of the company.

The duty of all employees is to take reasonable care of their own safety, and that of others who may be affected by their activity as clearly stated by Government laws, Company and Client Policy. To this end TURNKEY PETROLEUM will encourage and support each employee in every way to ensure that the aims of these laws/and policies are met.

TURNKEY PETROLEUM is committed to work within the regulations and codes of practices laid down by decrees and governmental orders and liaise closely with all government departments, Client HSES departments, professional and academic bodies to ensure improvement of all HSES regulations. It is the Company’s policy to sustain the appropriate training for all TURNKEY PETROLEUM and contractor’s personnel to ensure that TURNKEY PETROLEUM procedures and governmental regulations are known and observed.

Contractors working for and/or on behalf of TURNKEY PETROLEUM will be required to perform based on the same policies and standards as TURNKEY PETROLEUM.
